What To Pack For A Yoga Retreat in Rishikesh?
At least 2 pairs of leggings – you’re in them all day, everyday.
A journal - I guarantee you will be feeling all the feelings, so it’s a great habit to write these down at the end of each day.
A variety of different colour pens and a highlighter - to make your notes easy to refer back to.
A yoga mat - most academy’s will provide them, but I prefer to have my own. I use Jade’s travel mat, I can easily fit it into my backpack and it’s durable
Tiger balm, ibuprofen and a massage ball - your body will ache. There is a fantastic organic shop that sells Tiger balm amongst a bunch of other useful goods. You can find it here.
Sleeping tablets - to help you get over the first day or two of jetlag. Don’t push through it like I did as you will struggle to make it to the end of the first week
Frizz-free hair serum - humidity is not your friend.
Dr Bronners Liquid Soap - works as a body wash and laundry detergent! They come in travel size too.
Travelad - just for peace of mind. It’s natural
Resources:
XECurrency Converter App - download indian rupee, so that you can check the conversion rate without needing wifi.
Maps me App - again, download the map of Rishikesh before you go, so that you have a map on your phone without needing wifi.
Google Translate - again, download hindi onto the app before you go. I tried to learn a word a day (amongst everything else I was learning!) - the locals really appreciate it.
